Skoda Diesel Emission Claims – Recall
The Volkswagen emissions scandal has affected the Skoda Diesel engines following the C02 admission that it had been cheating the emissions levels of its diesel EA189 engines.

The following makes are affected by being part of the VW Group of motor vehicles.
Why is Skoda implicated?
It is because as from Skoda is owned by Volkswagen. It is believed that similar “cheat software” used on Volkswagen were also used on the Skoda cars and thus will be effected by the revelations.
It is reported by the Daily Mirror that the United States Volkswagen CEO, Michael Horn that VW had made mistakes and feared an industry meltdown. There are about 11 million cars that have been affected. Of those vehicles it is estimated that the Seat have about 132,000 Diesel cars in the UK that may be subject to the “cheat” software and thus could be subject to a compensation claim.
The “cheat” software is said to mask the true value of the emissions, which has been said to generate up to 40 times greater pollution if tested without the software.

Compensation for C02 against Skoda
If you have purchased, hired, leased an Skoda motor vehicle with a EA189 enginediesel engine, you may be able to claim. At this stage we do not know how far back the “cheat” software has been fitted and full details of all the cars affected but this will be revealed at a later stage.
