Subject: Worker left in coma after fall in work accident claim
Two have been sentenced for safety failings after a worker suffered life-threatening injuries when he fell through the roof of a factory.
The work accident claim happened when the 49 year old worker was removing asbestos roof sheets from the disused building when he stepped on to a fragile panel and fell more than five metres to the concrete floor below.
He was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries, before being placed into an induced coma.
