Abstract: At all material times, a man was working in the warehouse of an electrical company, He was the supervisor and was on the floor advising.
An employee driving a fork lift truck came beside him and asked him what to do next. The claimant told him to lift washing machines and transport them to the right department. The employee informed him he had never lifted a washing machine before as he was new and asked for supervision. The claimant agreed and told him what to do. When the washing machine was one or two feet off the ground the employee turned the truck around striking the supervisor and shattering his pelvis.
His claim was valued at £35,000 plus loss of earnings and expenses.
