Concerns raised as to whether VW will stay committed to climate change

Homepage Slides-14

According to Eco-Business the huge payments made by Volkswagen to settle claims over its false vehicle emissions figures have raised serious questions about corporate commitment to fighting climate change. VW has agreed a deal with the US Department of Justice which will see them pay nearly $15 billion, by either paying to have customers cars fixed or buying them back completely.

Worldwide, the VW emissions scandal is believed to involve at least 11 million vehicles. In the UK there is believed to be over 1 million drivers whose cars have been effected, they are yet to be offered any form of compensation following the emissions scandal despite increasing pressure.
