VW has not fixed any British cars since emissions scandal

Homepage Slides-14

Pressure has mounted on the Government after it emerged that not a single British car has been fixed since the emissions scandal broke, as reported in The Times. After it came to light that VW had fitted some diesel cars with software to deliberately cheat emissions tests they announced that 1.2 million cars were effected in the UK. This forced VW in to a global recall of all cars that had been fitted with the said devices, however Robert Goodwill the roads minister announced that a programme to repair vehicles was yet to start.

The Times reports that this will further anger owners of VW cars that have been effected by the VW emissions scandal. Mr Goodwill was reputedly attacked at a transport select committee by MPs for failing to back UK owners claims for compensation.
