Two women were killed in a fatal accident and 48 people were injured in a coach crash in Morval, Cornwall. The coach speeded through a hedge and smashed into a wall. The coach was travelling down a steep winding hill when it crashed, the occupants on the coach where going to a sea side town of Looe.
Eight of the passengers were on an Age Concern trip from Exmouth, Devon. They were all taken to hospital into a critical condition.
A woman passed away at the scene and another woman was pronounced dead in hospital.
The 57 year old coach driver has been arrested by police on suspicion of death by dangerous driving. Other passengers who were not seriously injured where treated at the scene before being reunited.
The coach had 50 passengers who are all believed to be in their 60’s or older.
