Subject: Two joiners injured at work after bricks collapse on them
Two firms have been fined after a brick archway weighing two tones collapsed and injured two workers in the workplace during a major refurbishment project.
The two men, both joiners were working on the arch after it became unstable due to the removal of some bricks on one of the support pillars.
One man injured his back, the other fractured his foot.The firm responsible were both fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £5,000 to each man.
