Subject: Two children killed in a fatal accident by giant boulder in chalet on holiday
A 32ft boulder has crushed a chalet, killing two sleeping children whilst on holiday in the French Alps.
The two children, aged 7 and 10 were of school holidays when the accident occurred. A team of around 60 paramedics and firefighters with sniffer dogs attended the scene at 5am as part of the rescue operation.
There were five adults in the chalet with the two children. Three of the adults managed to free themselves from the wreckage, whilst two others had to be rescued by response teams. It is believed the 16ft wide, 32ft tall boulder was caused by heavy rain pours in the last month.
