Subject: Three year old child injury – hurt in escalator accident
A three year old child has sustained serious injuries after being in an accident on an escalator at an airport. The boy was injured when its finger got stuck in the moving escalator. The three year old was left unattended while he sat on the moving escalator and began to fidget, then screamed as his hand got stuck on the side of the escalator and he struggled to remove it.
Security personnel rushed to the scene, the escalator was switched off and the child’s hand removed, leaving him with serious hand injuries.
