Six year old child left with back injury after boating accident

A six year old child has been left in critical condition following a boating accident.

The accident happened at around 9pm, shortly after getting dark. The child was on a small boat where he had been for the day with his family on a local lake.

The weather was sufficiently bad, with rain and wind, causing the outer part of the boat to become dangerous and slippery. The child was pushed from an inside seat through the door as the boat rocked. He slipped when standing up and landed on his hip, causing back injury.
