A 45 year old pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident when he was knocked over by a Ford Transit van when he was walking home.
The fatal accident occurred around 11:30pm when he was walking along the B6313 westbound towards Grange Villa. He was then hit by the van which was traveling in the same direction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene due to a head injury.
An investigation has been launched into the fatal accident and an appeal has been made for witnesses.
