Fatal accident motorbike claim advice
A pedestrian has died and two other men are fighting for life following a horrific crash in Birmingham in the early morning hours. The pedestrian, in his 40s, went into cardiac arrest after a collision with a motorbike in Coventry Road, Yardley , at about 1.50am. Bystanders attempted to resuscitate him before paramedics arrived but he died at the scene. A trauma doctor and medics from the West Midlands Central Accident Resuscitation Emergency Team turned their focus to the two men on the bike.
The men, aged in their 20s, had both suffered multiple serious injuries and were in a critical condition. They were given pain relief, oxygen and extensive pre-hospital treatment before they were fully immobilised with neck collars and spinal boards. Doctors anaesthetised both men at the roadside to stabilise their deteriorating conditions. Treatment continued as the men were rushed in separate ambulances to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Edgbaston for further emergency assistance. Their condition was described as critical.
