Disappointed passengers struck with a 28 hour flight delay

Holiday makers departing from Dalaman (Turkey) and due to arrive in Liverpool John Lennon Airport on a Monarch flight was made to wait in a terminal for 4 hours before getting told passengers was either getting diverted to Birmingham Airport or London Luton Airport.

200 passengers on board was left in the sweltering heat and cramped conditions when they was told they wasn’t going to be aboard there scheduled Monarch flight and was going to be diverted over 100 miles away from their arrival airport and only departing the following day.

Refreshments and overnight accommodation were given to the frustrated passengers by Monarch representatives. Monarch strongly apologised to passengers for this delay that occurred.
