A life sentence was given to a lorry driver who drove his wagon at a man in a fatal road-rage accident.

The 47 year old lorry driver was found guilty of murder and has to serve a minimum of 15 years.

He was driving a 17 tonne lorry and a 57 year old male who was travelling to work in his red Citroen Berlingo van where traveling on the same road when the fatal accident occurred.

Both men can to a stop on a single carriageway road after a driving dispute.

The pair got out of their vehicles, the 57 year old male was wearing a high-visibility jacket and went over to the lorry and was ‘waving’ his hands in the air. When he was walking back to his van the lorry driver hit him and then dragged him under the wheels of the lorry a witness said.

Due to the fatal accident he man suffered catastrophic injuries and passed away instantly at the scene. The public then called the emergency services who attended the seen a short time later.

The lorry driver was arrested at the scene of the fatal accident. When he was interviewed he said the pair where in a dispute about driving though he said he did not run him over deliberately.
