A Father of two, aged 31, has died after being dragged in to an industrial machine which caused him ‘catastrophic injuries’ to his legs and lower body resulting in a tragic death at work.
The accident happened when he was attempting to clean the inside of a polystyrene compactor. An inquest into his death revealed how the man did not follow safety procedures before entering the machine.
The man was working at a waste processing plant that was being used to dispose of furniture packaging. He was found in the machine with catastrophic injuries to his lower body but none to his upper body. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene where it was believed to have died from multiple traumatic injuries.
