A man in his 50’s was involved in a fatal road crash on the M5 between junctions 26 and 27. The car came off the road, went down an embankment and crashed into a tree. He was treated that the scene but was pronounced dead a short time after.
Also two more crashes happened on the A30. A man has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving due to the accident, after it was confirmed that a 38 year old man died. Three cars hit a vehicle on the A30. Later that day a freak hail storm caused a six vehicle crash also on the A30.
