Subject: Man dead and child seriously injured in ‘off road’ bike crash
The 32-year-old man was riding the motorbike with the seven-year-old as a pillion passenger.
The accident happened at around 5pm when the motorbike rider was approaching a bend in a narrow road a speed when he collided with an oncoming car.
Emergency services were sadly unable to revive the man and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The young boy was rushed to hospital where his injuries were described as life-threatening.
