A man was working for a company that made tissues when he suffered an accident at work. The man put his hand in the machine to stop the build up of tissue fiber. His hand was then trapped in the machine, two of his fingers where badly damaged and had to be amputated. After three months he returned to work on light duties. When an investigation was carried out it was seen that there was a fault with the safety guard. The company were ordered to pay a fine of £2,000.
