An enthusiastic cyclist who was described as a “lovely guy” was the first to die in London. The 52 year old bus depot director was seen as a “very safe rider”, though when he was crossing a dangerous junction he was knocked off his bike.
Paramedics and police rushed to the scene though the cyclist could not be saved. The driver of the car was an elderly woman who was not arrested but stayed at the scene to help with the investigation.
