If you suffer a flight delay because of a strike, your airline has an obligation to offer you assistance.  Assistance can include food and drink and overnight accommodation, if required.

EasyJet flight delay
Over the course of the previous strikes which took place in June 2014, there were around 1030 delays or cancellations.

Unlike delays for other reasons, airlines are not obliged to offer compensation following a strike because they are usually considered to be ‘extraordinary circumstances’ and out of the airlines’ control, however if you are delayed after the initial strikes are over you may still be entitled to claim.
