Couple faced with a 14 hour delay ruined the last day of their holiday
In May 2012 a couple returning from there fabulous break in Venice, Italy was hit with a devastating 14 hour fligth delay returning to London Gatwick. EasyJet agents seemed unable to give them adequate information at the time.
An EasyJet representative told the couple that they could change their reservation to the 12:15am flight the following day but they would not put the passengers up in overnight accommodation. Passengers explained ‘The airport was chaotic outside the airport building and had to wait for a taxi as it was that busy. We only arrived into the hotel at 3:45am’ stated a passenger involved in this flight delay.
The passengers on board the EasyJet flight flew back to London Gatwick at 11:45am the next day, passengers are still now waiting to hear back from the National Enforcement Body about their flight delay compensation being received.
