Flight delay compensation:
Qatar Airways are reducing the frequency of routes from Doha because of hold-ups in the delivery of new planes from Airbus. When reclaiming flight delay compensation we have found this route is a regular cause of problems see our website for more information. Full story is here.
The 15 affected routes include flights to Manchester. A spokesperson for Qatar have said “We are making selective flight cancellations in several markets … due to a delay in Airbus aircraft deliveries,” “We are minimising the impact on our passengers as much as possible, and accommodating them on other flights that suit their travel needs. The flight cancellations are taking the form of one flight per week in most of the affected markets through the summer.”
Qatar Airways are replacing an order of Airbus A320neos because of problems affecting hydraulics and software.
Qatar Airways was due to receive the first of 50 A320s in December but refused to take delivery after saying they were inadequately tested for the Gulf region’s high temperatures.
Whilst we appreciate factors like this can be out of the airlines control and safety is of the upmost importance, some flight delay compensation can be claimed for delays within the airlines control due to poor planning with crew and overbooking etc. Contact us today.
