Flight delay compensation- Gatwick Airport to Barbados.

A couple scheduled to board a Thomas Cook aircraft have been rewarded flight delay compensation 3 years after their flight delay took place.

The excited couple planning to travel to Barbados from Gatwick Airport was delayed by 5 hours because their plane was held back on the tarmac explained a Thomas Cook executive.

2 hours after their scheduled flight was due to depart they were no closer to arriving in Barbados. The couple explained;

‘When we left the house, there was a bit of mist but the weather wasn’t bad. We could hear aircrafts going overhead, but when we arrived at the airport we seen our flight was among a couple of other flights that were delayed for no longer than an hour. Eventually we were told that our flight had been diverted to Stansted. We were left wondering why? We were sitting there watching the world go by instead of being on board our flight and arriving in our destination’
