A Mother was in a shopping centre with her son when she was walking passed an open stall. The stall was a “beauty place” and specialised in eyebrows, including wax and threading. The woman who was working on the stall was carrying a hot wax pot over to her work station, she tripped over and split the hot wax over her son. The child sustained third degree burns on his face. He was attended to by the shopping centre’s first aider and rushed to hospital for treatment to his facial burns.
The child is currently awaiting an examination by the child injuries solicitors medical expert to report on the severity of the injury. Liability for the burns to the child has been admitted by the shop owners.
