Subject: Child suffers fractured leg on trampoline whilst at nursery
A nursery has been ordered to pay out more than £10,000 following a accident causing a child injury after a two-year-old boy fractured his leg while in its care.
It was found the boy was using a trampoline intended for older children, aged six and over. The trampoline was designed for use only in the home, although a risk assessment had been carried out, it had been completed by an untrained member of staff.
The company was fined £7,500 and ordered to pay a further £5,250 in prosecution costs and victim surcharges.
