A nursery has been fined for a child’s injury after a table toppled over and went in to the young boy’s eye.
The company’s director pleaded guilty to failing to report the accident and not carrying out a risk assessment.
As a result, the young boy suffered life-threatening injuries and still needs a significant amount of medical support. The nursery was fined £7,000 and ordered to pay £5,000 in prosecution costs.
