A young school girl was play on school apparatus when she suffered a cut to her thigh. A small fibre was protruding wire had come lose and cut her thigh.
The wound was not severe though it had cut the skin and was bleeding profusely. The child was taken to accident and emergency hospital where the wound was dressed and cleaned.
The dressing did have to be changed by her doctors on several occasions. The cut healed to the thigh in just over two weeks. The expert said that it would leave a scar though it would start to fade over time and also become invisible in a few years. Her education was not affected. As a result of her injury’s she received £ 1,720.
