Cardiff City Football Club have appointed there new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after sacking there old manager Malky Mackay. The former Manchester United forward has signed a short term contract with the bluebirds with an option to extend his contract. At the press conference shortly after his appointment Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed his ambitions for the club “Short-term the most important thing is getting points and performances, but longer-term, finishing above Swansea must be an aim,” he said with a smile”.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also turned down rumours that former Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson warned him against working with Cardiff owner Vincent Tan. “He has wished me the best and given me some good advice as he always does. I had a good conversation with him, he said. It is absolute nonsense (that he told me to turn down Cardiff)”
