Subject: Child injury after getting ran over by parade float.

A nine year old child was left injured after being ran over by a float whilst he was handing out sweets at the parade.

As he tried to climb back on the float he had been riding on, he slipped and fell under the trailer. The tandem axle trailer then ran over the child causing injury. The child sustained leg injuries and a fractured arm in the accident.

Air ambulances lifted the boy to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
