Subject: Child injured after being incorrectly restrained
A child seriously hurt in a car crash last night may not have been appropriately restrained.
The 5-year-child passenger was taken to hospital with internal injuries after a head-on crash at about 5.53pm. The vehicle she was travelling in was hit by a car, allegedly driven by a 91 year-old woman who was going the wrong way.
Emergency services were called to the scene immediately where it is believed that the girl was not appropriately restrained by paramedics. When she arrived at the hospital her internal injuries had been worsened by the incorrect restraints.
