Subject: Child in pram escapes injuries whilst his mother is left injured after being struck by vehicle
A 34 year old woman has been left seriously injured following an accident. Luckily, her three year old son, who was strapped into his pram at the time escaped injury.
The accident happened at around 2.30pm when the woman and her son were at a pedestrian crossing when an oncoming vehicle failed to stop as they crossed the road. The woman was through up into the air from impact, leaving her with severe leg and back injuries. Her child in the pram was left stranded in the centre of the road escaping injury.
Emergency services were called and air lifted the woman to hospital. Her young child was taken by a family member.
