Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has signed a contract extension at Real Madrid keeping him at the club until 2019.
Benzema’s future was in doubt after several big money signings from Real Madrid including Monaco forward James Rodriguez and Bayern Munich play maker Toni Kroos.
Bezema had been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Liverpool reported to in interested in the striker.
Following the signing Real Madrid released a brief statement “Real Madrid announce the extension of the contract between the player Karim Benzema and the club until June 30, 2019, the next five seasons.”
