Accident at work solicitors and compensation claim
A 21 year old woman was working in a hospital as a technical instructor. One afternoon when she was leaving work she walked into the building when she slipped on leaves that had fell on to the stairs. The stairs where covered in decomposing leaves and well as fresh leaves. The leaves where due to be cleaned everyday but the routine was never enforced.
The claimant fell and landed on her knee. She went home and returned to work the next day though her knee was bleeding, swollen and was causing her pain. She was sent to another part of the hospital where her knee was X-rayed. The x-ray showed that the claimant had severely damaged her knee cap and needed surgery.
She was able to return to work on light duties 3 months following the accident and returned to full time work within 6 months following the accident at work.
An accident at work compensation amount of £4,600 would be within the ball park figure for this claim plus any loss of earnings and expenses.
