A cyclist from Liverpool was injured after a serious pedal bike accident. The female cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a road traffic accident with a Hackney cab.
The 57 year old cyclist was left with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, she was transported to hospital after the crash. The cycle accident occurred on Upper Parliament Street junction with St James Place at around 6:20am.
Merseyside police confirmed the 57 year-old woman was injured after the crash with the Taxi cab.
The taxi driver stopped at the scene to help with investigations. The road was closed off so that the police could investigate and for the council to remove the debris.
