Subject: 12 Year old child with severe facial injuries after two school buses collided, injuring more than 20 passengers
A 12 year old childhas been left with severe facial injuries after the school bus he was travelling on collided with an another oncoming bus. Two adults and 50 children, aged 11 to 18, were on board the buses at the time of the road traffic accident involving children.
One of the drivers was trapped for a “prolonged” period inside the bus and was among the injured. The child injury accident happened at 8.20am. Emergency services were called immediately where the injured boy was flown to hospital. Most of those injured were treated at the scene.
